Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years Recent experience in a similar role in law enforcement (can include Military Police) required.
Valid firearms license. LEOSA/CCW required.
Candidates must be able to comply with all local and state licensing regulations required.

For full-time employees, we offer medical and dental benefits. As we are a new sector in Nashville, there are a ton of growth opportunities! The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for the oversight of safety and security of the hotel. This person will respond to guest and employee emergencies, complete incident reports and complete security rounds.

Essential Functions:
• Maintain complete awareness of scheduled group activities and house count, hotel facilities and services, hours of operation, facility layout, fire and emergency plans and departmental rules of conduct
• Management of VIP arrivals and departures 
• Work closely with Front Office to ensure that hotel guests/employees are safe and must be able to handle guests who may be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or are otherwise incapacitated.
• Complete understanding of all security related systems, CCTV, Radio, Key card system, fire panel, etc.
• Review department log records and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the overnight shift • Provide escorts for employees in accordance with departmental standards
• Ensure that after-hours access into secured hotel areas are properly authorized, monitored and documented in accordance with hotel standards
• Coordinate emergency situations as specified in departmental manual
• Oversight of general liability claims
• Oversight of all emergency and life safety situations during the overnight hours
• Monitor surveillance cameras as assigned
• Investigate duress alarms and comply with respective procedures
• Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions taken in accordance with departmental standards

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Knowledge of local laws, investigative methods and fire safety
• Valid certification in CPR and first aid or the ability to obtain certification
• Having current security license
• Provide legible communication and directions
• 1 year of security experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities: 
Monitor all areas of the premises as outlined in the scope of work. (Example: building, grounds, and parking lots) Administer first aid, respond to injuries, and emergencies such as fires. Monitor weather radio and make notifications as needed. Monitor reserved parking and issue parking violations. Complete reports and paperwork as needed. Ensure property leaving the premises has appropriate authorization. Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic and maintain records of visitors using the client's software. Maintain uniformed / professional appearance at all times. Enforce Buyer security policies and maintain documentation of violations. Monitor for environmental leaks, spills, etc. and notify the appropriate personnel in the event of an emergency. Respond to Simplex Fire Protection System alarms. Maintain assigned equipment such as radios, flashlights Maintain Shift Activity Report for each shift. Maintain shift pass down logs to ensure complete communication between shifts. Maintain Security Incident Reports numbers and log. Maintain maintenance notification log for discrepancies reported to maintenance personnel for follow up and / or repair. Ensure tracking reports are accessible by client and client's insurance providers. Notify the appropriate law enforcement agency immediately of any unlawful activity. Act as liaison with municipal agencies for responses to medical emergencies, fires, hazardous material spills, etc. Admit only authorized personnel to the facility at all times; Issue passes to visitors and enter data into visitor tracking system; Wear authorized uniform with name badges at all times; Carry a portable communication device permitting 24-hour communication with security control center and/or with appropriate law enforcement agencies and other designated contacts as required; Perform inspection, detection, and investigation of all security-related incidents, violations of regulations and matters of public safety and report to appropriate authorities; and
Protect facility employees and assets. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 
21+ years of age
Valid Driver's License
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to obtain Security Officer Certification (In state of business location)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
